Is it Possible to Escape Western Culture?

Not long ago I saw a video featuring Africans in Holland who were part of the Crips gang. And you can watch video after video of different areas of the world where people have been influenced by western culture. They even have rappers in Somalia trying to be like Lil Wayne. Of course I wrote about Lil Wayne's experience in South Africa where he came across someone so influenced by his ENERGY he decided to morph into his exact replica and try to become his essence. I titled the article Lil Wayne vs Himself in South Africa.

Why do you think I titled the article in this way?

I did so because the Western world dominates the media to such an extent people from around the world will literally carbon copy the culture. They don't just take slight influences and put it with a basis of their culture. They do the opposite the basis of their culture has a Western influence and they add a dash of their own authentic culture. Western culture is being emulated more and more as the years go by and the strength of the culture has many media outlets due to technology.

300 Dead in Europe Cold Snap

As we experience one of the mildest winters I can remember here on the East coast of the United States, people in Europe are suffering from  extreme cold temperatures.

So far over 300 people have died from the severe weather. Many homeless people have taken the brunt of the fatalities and simply froze to death in temperatures plummeting to -40 degrees Fahrenheit at night in many areas. The weather has affected much of Europe and has even crossed the Mediterranean into North Africa killing 16 due to accidents caused on the snow slick roads. I can only assume the residents aren't use to driving in the snow and that played a big part in these accidents.

Many of us complain when it's 30 or 40 degrees, imagine it being below 40. All I can say is "Wow".

African's Help Prevent HIV

I wanted to write about this article I just came across. The article claims that there might be new drugs that helps prevent HIV in heterosexuals.

These drugs work best with heterosexual patients who are at high risk for HIV. Studies show that if the patient is given the drug while their immune system is strong it greatly prevents infection.

Now you see the title right? Well there’s a reason for it.

Guess where these studies where conducted and which patients where used? The title gives it away of course.

Yes Africans where the test subjects:

Both trials were done in Africa. In one, a daily dose of Truvada, a combination pill that includes tenofovir disoproxil fumarate and emtricitabine, reduced the risk of getting HIV from infected partners by about 63 percent.

The other study found that two different regimens -- tenofovir, sold as Viread, and Truvada -- also reduced the risk of transmission through heterosexual sex.

Before I go into why I am disturbed by this, I want to point out that it is natural. It is natural for the weaker to be used and picked on. Note I didn’t say it was right. But God clearly designed a world where only the strongest survives. Only the strongest can protect themselves and release themselves from oppression.
